The interior measures 350*300*165 mm and the exterior 384*366*183 mm. The difference from the WL8-3815 is height: the 3815 is 148 mm outside with a 130 mm interior height, a 95 mm base depth and a 2280 g net weight, while the 3818 is 183 mm outside with a 165 mm interior height, a 130 mm base depth and 2520 g. Choose the 3818 for upright items or a two-layer insert, and the 3815 for single-layer packing with less weight.

The closed case is rated IP67 for water and dust protection, covering rain, dusty conditions and short immersion, and shielding contents from moisture and particles. The shell is injection moulded in polypropylene with a sealing structure, and the 4.2 mm wall helps maintain seating pressure between the lid and the gasket. We do not claim military standard certification for this model. Inspect the gasket periodically and dry the shell, latches and seal area after rain or immersion.

A deeper base lets taller equipment stand upright and also supports two foam layers that separate the main device from its accessories, reducing the number of cases needed and the chance of items knocking together. With the usable 350 by 300 mm floor, a main unit, cables and small accessories can all be zoned inside one case.
