This model is 380*267*165 mm inside and 405*325*180 mm outside, with a 3.4 mm wall and a net weight of 2005 g. The standard 8 Series case on the same 405*325 mm footprint has a 140 mm interior height. The difference is 25 mm, and because the footprint is identical the two can be swapped in the same packing position. Choose this taller model for upright items or two foam layers, and the shorter one when you pack flat items and want less weight.

The shell is injection moulded in polypropylene with a sealing structure, and the closed case is rated IP67 for water and dust protection, covering rain, dusty environments and short immersion while reducing the risk of moisture and particles reaching the contents. We do not claim military standard certification for this model. Protection depends on how well the lid seats on the gasket, so check the seal for ageing, deformation or trapped particles, and avoid long soaking or heavy rain once it is damaged.

At 2005 g this case sits in the comfortable hand-carry range of the 8 Series. Overall height is 180 mm, so the centre of gravity stays low and the case feels stable in one hand. Compared with the thicker 2600 g version it saves roughly 600 g while keeping the same 3.4 mm wall, which helps where the case is moved and opened many times a day. If your load is heavy or the cases are stacked long term, move up to a thicker wall for more compression margin.

It suits items that need upright space or extra internal height, such as tool sets with handles, complete measuring instrument kits, electronic main units, and photographic or drone accessories. The 165 mm height accepts two slim foam layers so a main unit and its accessories travel in one case instead of two.
