How do I choose between the WL8-5021 and the WL8-5022?
Both share the same 437*308 mm internal floor and differ in body height and outline. The WL8-5021 (810B-A) measures 495*370*210 mm outside with a 164 mm internal depth and weighs 4912 g; the WL8-5022 (810B-B) measures 463*370*230 mm with a 180 mm internal depth and weighs 5012 g. Pick the deeper 810B-B for taller equipment or an extra foam layer, and the flatter 810B-A for instruments and tool sets.
Is the case waterproof and dustproof?
The shell is injection moulded in engineering PP with a sealing structure, and the closed case is rated IP67 for water and dust protection, which suits damp workshops, outdoor transport and dusty sites. We do not claim military standard certification for this model. Check that the gasket is clean and free of marks before packing sensitive instruments, and add a foam insert matched to the equipment so seal and insert work together.
What does engineering PP offer compared with ordinary plastic?
Engineering PP keeps useful toughness at low temperatures, so it resists dropping and cracking better during winter transport and in workshops where cases are handled constantly. The wall is 4.5 mm and the empty case weighs 4912 g, which balances stiffness with easy handling. Clean it with water or mild detergent and a soft cloth; strong solvents and abrasive pads can damage the surface.
What will fit in the 437*308*164 mm cavity?
It takes handheld test instruments, calipers and other measuring tools, calibration parts, complete precision hand tool sets and small electronic modules. The 164 mm internal depth leaves room for padding under most flat instruments. If your equipment has a handle, bracket or protruding connector, send a drawing first and we will check the fit against the actual packing position you intend.
How are customisation and MOQ handled?
Custom orders are welcome. MOQ and lead time are quoted after we review colour, insert process and printing requirements, and production normally starts once the sample is approved. Sample and drawing approval happen before mass production.
