Those are the factory depth figures for the two halves of the case: a shallow lid half and a deep base half. The layout lets equipment sit low in the body with only a thin pad above, which keeps the packed height compact. The usable floor of the base is 483*363 mm, so allow for foam thickness when planning the layout and keep the lid side for flat accessories only.

The polypropylene shell is injection moulded with a sealing structure and the closed case is rated IP67 for water and dust protection, which covers rain, dust and short immersion. We do not claim military standard certification for this model. Check the gasket periodically for ageing, marks or trapped debris, and make sure both latches are fully closed before packing valuable instruments so the seal keeps working.

The shell is polypropylene with a 4.5 mm wall, and the empty case weighs 6000 g. A PP shell is light for its volume and resists chemical attack, which suits workshops, sites and outdoor transport. Clean it with water or mild detergent and a soft cloth, and avoid strong solvents, abrasive pads and prolonged direct sunlight that could affect the surface and the sealing fit.

The 483*363 mm floor is generous, so complete power tool sets, test instruments, medical devices or camera gear can be packed together. When there is a lot of equipment, divide it by function, put heavy items in the base near the middle and place light parts and cables at the edges.
